Data deletion
Last updated: October 21, 2026
You can ask us to delete your data at any time. Choose the case that fits you.
A business that connected Instagram, Facebook or WhatsApp
- Sign in to ReceptionWorks, open the AI employee’s channels and choose Disconnect Instagram, Disconnect Facebook or Disconnect WhatsApp. We stop receiving and sending that channel’s messages immediately and stop using its access token.
- You can also remove ReceptionWorks in Meta’s settings: from the apps connected to your Instagram account in Instagram’s settings, or from Business Integrations in your Facebook settings or Meta Business Suite for a Facebook Page or WhatsApp number.
- To delete your conversation history, customer records and account data, email contact@ciphra.ca from your account’s email address with the subject “Delete my data”. We will confirm and delete the data within 30 days, including the usage analytics linked to your account.
A customer who messaged a business
If you messaged a business through its website chat, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp, the business controls your conversation and customer record and can delete them. You can ask the business directly, or email contact@ciphra.ca with the business’s name and your username, phone number or the contact you used. We will delete the data or pass the request to the business and confirm within 30 days.
The early-access waitlist
Reply to any early-access email or write to contact@ciphra.ca, and we will remove your email address from the list.
Analytics cookies
To remove analytics cookies from your browser and stop them being set again, choose Cookie settings at the bottom of our pages or in the account menu of the app and decline.
What we keep
We may keep billing and tax records the law requires us to keep. Deleted data can remain in backups until they expire on their rolling schedule. See the Privacy Policy for details.
